DJ Who?

I apologize that I couldn't write on Friday. The reason for that is because I was out of town and came back Saturday night.
Anyhow, on Friday we were in Studio 218. Mr. Arkin explained to us that every Friday we get to play music in class. Quite a treat isn't it? The only thing that we have to worry about is the music being clean and legal. So this Friday, DJ Arkin was in the house. He played a music from a group called Ra Ra Riot and the album was The Orchard. I have to say that the music was very good. I am beginning to feel that I haven't been exposed to good music yet!
Mr. Arkin also recommended 2 good softwares to download which will help a great deal. The first is Firefox and the second is NoteTab. We also learned character entity coded. This was a great help because I was wondering how to insert these into my super power autobiography. There is a helpful external link on the website that provides the codes for these charcter entities. It is very simple actually! A lot of the keys that are on our keyboard aren't the proper keys for the character entities that we want; quotation marks in specific. Another great thing that Mr. Arkin told us was that we can use our directories on the http://www.touque.ca/EC/ICS2O/students/index.html for all of our other classes. I think that is very helpful and a great way to keep me organized for all of my classes at Victoria Park.
Additionally, Mr. Arkin told us to read the book 1984 by George Orwell. I checked in my library but unfortunately it isn't available. So I've placed a hold on the book and hopefully will be able to read it in a short while.
My super power autobiography is going great and I think that it will be excellent. I have made a few external links and my story is almost finished. All I am missing is a few internal links and a few more finishing touches including the formatting. I'll update more tomorrow!

  1. I'm glad you found the suggestions useful!

Please let me know what you think of "1984," once you get a chance to read it!
